Dante Basco (Zuko) on The Last Airbender movie.

I ♥ this.

Aang: Is that a blubbering blob monster?
Sokka: No, it’s Suki!

This scene was chilling the first time I watched it. Still pretty chilling now.

My Nickelodeon Top 10

I get asked this a lot, and it’s honestly very hard to give an answer all the time. But if I’m forced to say what my top 10 Nickelodeon programs of all time are, then here goes (see below the list for some notes):

#1 – SpongeBob SquarePants

#2 – Rugrats

#3 – Avatar: The Last Airbender

#4 – Hey Arnold!

#5 – Jimmy Neutron

#6 – Rocko’s Modern Life

#7 – Drake & Josh

#8 – Kenan & Kel

#9 – The Fairly OddParents

#10 – House of Anubis

Things I need to point out:

  • Yes, there’s only four ‘90s Nicktoons and one ‘90s sitcom on my list. 50/50 between the past and the present. That’s a good representation, given that I’ve been watching Nick since the mid-90s as a little kid.
  • Yes, 7 out of the 10 are Nicktoons. I’ve always found Nick’s animation to be top notch, and thus, the toons are on the top of the list.
  • No matter how fickle SpongeBob’s quality may be now, those first 60 episodes are television gold. Nothing can undo that. It just is #1 in my book.
  • Yes, Jimmy Neutron. This is still one of my favorite Nicktoons to watch reruns of. It was so clever and funny, and I just have a plain ol’ good time watching it.
  • Yes, House of Anubis is on my list. I’ve had a blast watching that show the past two years and wish more people would enjoy it. It’s good. Really good.

Just because something isn’t listed doesn’t mean I don’t like it, even like it a lot. A top 10 is a hard thing to pick sometimes and this is for me. In fact, I like most every program Nickelodeon has created to some degree. There’s very few that I don’t care for (Fanboy & Chum Chum, for example) or absolutely hate (not naming names here).

So, what’s yours? Reblog with your top 10 if you wish.
